Specialist packing
MTAB’s Packing Technology Department produces a range of specialist packing solutions, and not just for works of art. At our fully equipped packing technology workshop, three packing technicians work on producing advanced boxes for museum consignments and to make sensitive machines ready for export.
MTAB is certified by the Swedish Board of Agriculture for the manufacture of wooden packaging in accordance with the International Standard ISPM15. This involves the wood being heat-treated so that the core reaches 56°C for 30 minutes to ensure the removal of any pests. Only companies that heat-treat or dry the woods according to this method may use the Board of Agriculture’s mark of approval.
